You can't remember if the name of a friend of your is Elda or Elena.
You meet her while she's lying lazily at the sun, so you ask: "Which is your name, Elda or Elena?"
She answers: "Elena, of course."
Which is her name??. -

If she is lying, she doesn't tell the truth, so her name is ELDA!!!! . -
.
No!!!! Her name is Elena!!!
She's simply relaxing herself..... -

Ahah! Answering right is impossible, you can choose to change the meaning of 'lying' as you wish... 'Cause it may mean 'to rest' as well as 'to not tell the truth' =) . -

... But if she is relaxing, she can say the false; if she is lying, she cannot say the true, instead!!! . -

Sry? Maybe you didn't get this:
To liemeaning 1 = to recline
To liemeaning 2 = to tell the untruth
The present participle form of both verbs is 'lying' (although they have different past forms): that's the key of the joke!. -
.
Very good Zingo!!
However, it's impossible to answer right to the quesion...The problem hasn't got a clear answer.. -

Yes, but I've said that if you are reclining you can tell the untruth, but if you tell the untruth you cannot say the truth!
So, it's more probable (3/4 of porobability) that her name is Elda!!!. -

Ahah xD You're wrong, Al: if nothing is said about the veracity of a sentence, it is assumed to be true. Otherwise, no problem could be solved :/ . -

It's a shame to have such grammar misunderstanders around.
[No offense, bro!].
